TrueArc XL Blue Auto-Darkening Welding Lens

EXTRA-LARGE VIEW. COOL-BLUE CLARITY.

The TrueArc XL Blue Auto-Darkening Welding Lens is built for welders who want a significantly larger viewing area, variable-shade control, and the distinctive cool-blue working view of the TrueArc Blue Series.

Featuring a Shade 3 light state, 1/1/1/2 optical rating, variable dark shades 5–13, four independent arc sensors, adjustable sensitivity, adjustable delay, and grind mode, XL Blue gives you broad visibility and control across changing welding conditions.

WHY WELDERS CHOOSE TRUEARC XL BLUE

EXTRA-LARGE VIEWING AREA

The 3⅞" × 3⁷⁄₁₆" viewing window provides a much broader field of view than a traditional 2" × 4¼" lens.

See more of the workpiece, joint, surroundings, and puddle without feeling restricted by a narrow viewing window.

COOL-BLUE HIGH-DEFINITION VIEW

XL Blue provides a distinctive cool-blue working view designed to reduce the heavy green or orange cast common in many traditional welding lenses.

This helps provide a clearer, more detailed view of the arc, puddle, joint, and surrounding work area.

The word Blue refers to the viewing experience through the lens while welding—not the exterior color of the inactive viewing window.

VARIABLE SHADE 5–13

Choose the appropriate dark shade from 5 through 13 based on your welding process, amperage, and working conditions.

Separate control ranges for Shade 5–8 and Shade 9–13 provide flexibility across a wider range of applications.

ADJUSTABLE SENSITIVITY AND DELAY

Sensitivity can be adjusted from low to high, giving you control over how readily the lens reacts to the welding arc.

The dark-to-light delay can also be adjusted from short to long, allowing you to control how quickly the lens returns to its light state after the arc stops.

FOUR INDEPENDENT ARC SENSORS

Four wide-range arc sensors provide broad detection coverage and switch the lens into its selected dark shade in approximately 0.3 milliseconds.

GRIND MODE AND TEST BUTTON

The dedicated grind setting allows the lens to remain in its light state during grinding work.

The built-in test button lets you verify lens operation before welding.

Always return the lens to welding mode before striking an arc.

SOLAR-ASSISTED BATTERY POWER

Solar cells help extend battery life, while one replaceable lithium CR2450 battery supplies the power required for operation. The battery is included.

The battery is required. XL Blue is not a battery-free, solar-only lens.

A low-battery indicator helps alert you when the battery needs attention.

4½" × 5¼" FITMENT

Designed for many welding hoods that accept the common 4½" × 5¼" lens format, including the TrueArc Vintage Series S4x5 Welding Hood.

At 3/8" thick, fitment depends on both the opening dimensions and the available lens depth inside the hood.

Always verify your hood dimensions before ordering or modifying any equipment.

BUILT FOR THE REAL WORK ENVIRONMENT

TrueArc XL Blue gives you separate control over shade, sensitivity, and delay while providing the broader visibility of an extra-large viewing window.

Increase sensitivity when greater arc-detection response is needed, reduce it when surrounding light or nearby welding activity causes nuisance activation, and adjust the delay based on how quickly you want the lens to return to its light state.

TIG WELDING?

For TIG welding, TrueArc only recommends the VPro Series.

We do not recommend the XL Blue, XL, Gold, HD, Blue, or other non-VPro TrueArc lens series for TIG welding.

If TIG is your welding process, choose a TrueArc VPro lens.

HOW ARC WELDING IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK.

An extra-large welding lens should give you more than a bigger window. It should provide the clarity, response, and control needed to stay connected to the puddle and understand what the weld is doing.

That is what the TrueArc XL Blue Series was built to deliver.

See the arc. Read the puddle. Weld with confidence.

very clear view. will be purchasing again.

Very clear vision. The XL size isn't as traditional, but as i get older i sure do enjoy the large lens. Using it in and S4x5 hood which is also nice. Crisp view before and after striking arc. Grind mode is nice. Good product.
