The TrueArc Vintage Series Welding Hood combines a durable fiberglass shell, a traditional pipeliner-style profile, and adjustable headgear in a straightforward hood built for everyday welding work.

Choose from three front-window configurations: S2X4, F2X4, or S4X5. Each hood comes standard with a fixed-shade welding lens sized for its selected window configuration.

Important: Any TrueArc auto-darkening lens shown installed in product or promotional images is sold separately and is not included with the hood.

DURABLE FIBERGLASS SHELL

The Vintage Series uses a rigid fiberglass shell with the familiar profile preferred by many pipeliner and field welders.

Its simple construction keeps the hood focused on the essentials without unnecessary exterior controls or added bulk.

THREE WINDOW CONFIGURATIONS

Choose the front style and viewing-window format that works for your setup:

• S2X4: Fixed 2" × 4" window

• F2X4: Flip-front 2" × 4" window

• S4X5: Fixed 4½" × 5¼" window

The three configurations use different lens holders and are not interchangeable.

ADJUSTABLE RATCHETING HEADGEAR

The adjustable headgear uses a ratcheting system to help you establish a secure, comfortable fit.

A padded sweatband adds comfort during extended use, while the side adjustment knobs let you control the hood’s fit and movement.

LIGHTWEIGHT, BALANCED PROFILE

The traditional shell shape is designed to remain straightforward and manageable during fabrication, shop work, and field welding.

Its balanced profile helps reduce the bulky feeling associated with larger, more complicated welding helmets.

CHEATER-LENS COMPATIBILITY

The interior includes a holder designed to accommodate many standard magnifying or cheater lenses.

Always verify the magnifier’s dimensions and available clearance with the welding lens installed before ordering.

CHOOSE YOUR CONFIGURATION

S2X4 — FIXED 2" × 4" WINDOW

A traditional fixed-front configuration built around the standard 2" × 4" welding-lens format.

The S2X4 comes with a fixed-shade 2" × 4" welding lens. Compatible TrueArc 2" × 4" auto-darkening lenses may be installed separately when their dimensions and thickness match the holder.

F2X4 — FLIP-FRONT 2" × 4" WINDOW

A flip-front version of the classic 2" × 4" configuration for welders who prefer a movable outer lens holder.

The F2X4 comes with a fixed-shade 2" × 4" welding lens. Compatible TrueArc 2" × 4" auto-darkening lenses are sold separately.

S4X5 — FIXED 4½" × 5¼" WINDOW

A large-format fixed-front configuration with a 4½" × 5¼" window for welders who prefer a substantially larger viewing area.

The S4X5 comes with a fixed-shade welding lens sized for its larger window. Compatible TrueArc XL-format auto-darkening lenses, including the TrueArc XL and XL Blue, are sold separately.

LENS COMPATIBILITY — READ BEFORE ORDERING

Each Vintage Series hood comes standard with a fixed-shade welding lens matched to the selected configuration.

Auto-darkening lenses are not included.

If you plan to install an auto-darkening lens:

• Match the lens to the hood’s exact window format

• Verify the lens’s overall width and height

• Confirm that its thickness fits the lens holder

• Confirm adequate clearance for any controls, batteries, sensors, or solar panels

• Verify compatibility before modifying the hood or lens holder

A 2" × 4" lens will not fit the S4X5 holder, and an XL-format lens will not fit either 2" × 4" configuration.

The hood itself does not provide auto-darkening performance. Shade range, switching response, sensitivity, delay, optical clarity, and welding-process suitability are determined by the lens installed in the hood.

Always use a welding lens with the appropriate shade and applicable safety rating for your welding process and working conditions.

RETAINING-CLIP REMOVAL

The lens-retaining clip may fit tightly when new.

To remove it:

1. Locate the center of the clip’s upper or lower edge.

2. Insert a small flat tool carefully behind the center of the clip.

3. Flex the clip only enough to release one edge from the holder.

4. Remove the clip without sharply bending or twisting it.

5. Replace or install the properly sized welding lens.

6. Reinstall the clip by seating one side first.

7. Press the opposite side into position until the clip sits flat and securely holds the lens.

Use care to avoid damaging the clip, lens, or lens holder.
