The TrueArc Gold Auto-Darkening Welding Lens is built for welders who want premium optical clarity, dependable arc detection, and the distinctive performance of the TrueArc Gold Series in the classic 2" × 4¼" lens format.
Featuring a bright Shade 3 light state, a premium 1/1/1/1 optical rating, automatic darkening, and fixed dark shades 9, 10, and 11, Gold is designed to give you excellent visibility before the strike and a clean, detailed view once the arc is established.
WHY WELDERS CHOOSE TRUEARC GOLD
1/1/1/1 OPTICAL RATING The Gold Series delivers premium optical performance with reduced distortion and a clear, consistent view of the arc, puddle, joint, and surrounding work area.
SHADE 3 LIGHT STATE The bright inactive state gives you excellent visibility between welds—whether you're positioning the electrode, checking fit-up, inspecting the joint, or preparing for the next strike.
LARGE, WIDE-RANGE ARC SENSORS Two independent arc sensors detect the welding arc and switch the lens into its selected dark shade in less than 0.5 milliseconds.
The Gold Series is also designed to reduce nuisance activation from surrounding light, helping provide a more stable viewing experience around the jobsite.
SOLAR POWERED Designed to operate without replaceable batteries during normal use.
CLASSIC 2" × 4¼" FITMENT Fits many welding hoods designed around the standard 2" × 4¼" lens format, including many pipeliner-style, pancake-style, and Tigerhood-style setups.
Always verify your hood dimensions before ordering.
BUILT FOR THE REAL WORK ENVIRONMENT
TrueArc Gold is designed to stay focused on the welding arc instead of reacting unnecessarily to surrounding light.
That means a more stable lens during common fabrication and shop tasks—including many situations involving grinding or wire-wheel work—without constantly triggering the auto-darkening function.

TIG WELDING?
For TIG welding, TrueArc only recommends the VPro Series.
We do not recommend the Gold, HD, Blue, XL, or other non-VPro TrueArc lens series for TIG welding.
If TIG is your welding process, choose a TrueArc VPro lens for the sensitivity and performance required for TIG applications.
HOW ARC WELDING IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK.
A premium welding lens should give you more than automatic darkening. It should provide the optical clarity and stability you need to stay connected to the puddle and understand what the weld is doing.
That is what the TrueArc Gold Series was built to deliver.
See the arc. Read the puddle. Weld with confidence.
It was time for a new lens and I’m very happy to have stumbled upon TrueArc. I tried this lens out yesterday at work and wow what a nice bead I threw down! I can actually see now. I mainly stick weld 2” pipe with 6010 electrodes mostly running 85-90 amps. I used to run a shade 10.5 on an automatic lens. I was torn between a shade 10 and 11, thinking 10 would be too bright and 11 too dark. I’m so glad I went with a shade 11. I can see just perfect running in that amperage range. I hope this helps someone out and definitely try out this lens!

Great purchase
I have been welding for a long time and this happens to be the best priced and most crystal clear lens have used.
